Wedding of the year!!!

Well it was for us anyway!

Roger and I were pronounced man and wife on 1st November 2008. It's a trite saying, but it was very much the happiest day of my life.

The ceremony rook place at Buckland Hall in the Brecon Beacons, with many friends and family present. Some had driven all the way from London and one plucky bunch had flown in from Australia.

The bride was traditionally late making her appearance, but other than that the whole thing went without a hitch. Chlöe read T.S. Elliot's dedication to his wife for us. Apparently at the end of the ceremony, when we were told that we were now married, my small, muttered "Yes!" was audible to the whole room.

The next day Roger's mum and dad held an all-comers brunch so those with long journeys could build up their strength with sausages (after all, the poor things had been made to suffer through a vegetarian wedding), and from there it was back to London via a stop off for Ian's 50th at The George Inn, in Norton St Philip.

Hardly time to sit down when we got home - it was time to pack for the honeymoon. More about that here. Well, there used to be more there but it vanished when i rebuilt the server. There must be a simple way to keep backups of this stuff. Grump.

Many thanks to Tania for this lovely picture.
